We supply the rare film enthusiast. We source out-of-print media for schools, churches, higher education authorities, television companies and film studios. We have worked with hundreds of people in the film industry to track down rare films so that
they may live on. We work closely with other film enthusiasts and companies worldwide.
We source rare films from all over the world. Films are supplied to us in region 0 (dvd-r) or region 2 dvd format. Aside from the region coding the film will be in either the NTSC
(USA / Canada) or PAL
(Europe / Australasia) format. Most dvd and video systems are capable of playing both but we would advise you check your system first if you live in the USA or Canada. If you are in the USA or Canada we will usually be able to send you an NTSC version anyway.Video conversion:
We can only convert footage you own personally such as your wedding day and family memories, unless the media is in the public domain or you have permission. We transfer using only the highest quality equipment and materials. The average transfer time is about a week. We strongly advise you send valuable items by registered post or a courier service.
We will keep a backup copy for a period of one month from the job completion date as a safeguard against lost or damaged items. We would suggest you contact us within one month if you require further copies. We are also able to convert cine film and slides to dvd. Please note we sometimes use a third party for this service so all quotes will be approxiamate.Film copyrights:
Most of the films in our catalog are supplied as region 0 dvds (on dvd-r). Some titles we stock are original region 2 dvds. We are always updating our catalog to comply with FACT and BBFC regulations. In all cases where you see a title for sale unavailable elsewhere it is either in the public domain (where copyright ownership no longer applies) or we have been granted permission by a principal copyright holder.Postage and Packaging:
In all cases where we quote a price on this site, postage and packaging will be included for addresses anywhere in the world. All orders are dispatched by
first class post in the UK and by Royal Mail Airmail overseas. Proof of postage is always obtained. We will not be held responsible for items lost in the post, but we appreciate items do go missing and we will send a replacement in most cases. Customers from South Africa should request items are sent by registered post at an extra cost of £5.30 due to the postal problems in this country. European customers should allow 14 days for delivery. Customers outside Europe should allow 21 days for delivery however delivery times are usually much quicker than this. Please contact us before ordering if you wish to add this insurance.Returned Goods:
In accordance with Distance Selling Regulations 2000 you have a minimum 7 days to return an unwanted item and receive a full refund, however our own policy allows you to return items up to 30 days after purchase. If any item is found to be faulty it may be returned to us for inspection and
will be immediately replaced. Items bought in error after this period of time can be refunded at our discretion and postage costs may be deducted. We reserve the right to deduct postage costs from overseas customers who have not previously checked their equipment is compatible. In all cases customers should contact us before returning goods. You may do this by calling the number above or by emailing us at enquiries @ vicpine.co.ukNewsletter
Newsletters are sent out several times a week telling you of new films added.
