Tanganyika [1954] [DVD]

In East Africa around 1900, murderer Jeff Morrow is exerting an evil influence over the warlike Nakumbi natives, thus endangering the lives of white settlers in the colony. A safari, led by Van Heflin and including Morrow's decent brother Howard Duff, sets off on a manhunt to catch the renegade. A bizarre combination of jungle adventure and thriller, this is absolute piffle, as evidenced by the presence of schoolteacher Ruth Roman and a couple of children in the hunting party, but it's awful enough to be quite entertaining.
