In 1876, a Canadian North West Mounted Police Constable must obtain the release of white hostages captured by the Cree tribes that are raiding Montana from their Canadian reservation.

The Mounties certainly had their day in the early 1950s, what with Alan Ladd in Saskatchewan and Howard Keel and Ann Blyth in Rose Marie, and here's past-his-prime 20th Century-Fox star Tyrone Power sent to don the scarlet as MacDonald of the Canadian Mounties (the film's British title).
