Operation Snatch [1962] [DVD]

Legend has it that if the famous Barbary Apes leave the Rock of Gibraltar, it's a sign that the British will lose control of it. During World War II, a British officer is put in charge of the apes. When he detects that the animals' morale is slipping, he hatches a plan to go behind the German lines to "kidnap" a new ape for his charges to lift their spirits before the Germans find out about their condition and use it as propaganda. ~ imdb

This film has been on our hunt list for a very long time and it is great to finally get an excellent print.

About this dvd: supplied to us a very good 35mm conversion but at the wrong frame rate. This has been corrected to the proper frame rate of 24fps and a runtime of 87 minutes. We have not done any other post processing as none is required - the resulting dvd is rather excellent and comes with full custom disc and sleeve artwork. The aspect ratio is 4:3 and the film is in black and white. Here is a sample.
