Fire! [1977] [DVD]

Made-for-TV disaster movie about a forest fire, started by a convict, which threatens to engulf a mountain community. Expect lots of the usual mini-dramas and characters saying, “Don't I smell smoke?” before the inferno arrives.

A better than average supporting cast, including tough-guy Ernest Borgnine, Vera Miles, Patty Duke Astin (the Oscar winner from The Miracle Worker) and even Ty Hardin, TV's Bronco Lane, is in the thick of it.
