Bill Travers presents only a slight variation on his performance in the same team's earlier film, Geordie, as a tetchy Scottish giant whose doltish unwillingness to come to terms with modern life precipitates what is intended to be all manner of rib-tickling confusion.

Bill Travers crosses from the Hebrides in search of the perfect wife only to be arrested as a poacher. Hamming gleefully, George Cole and Gordon Jackson provide delightful support.
